MACPRESSE / Waste baler MAC 112 is the largest version of the MACPRESSE “L” series models, designed and built to compact Municipal Solid Waste, RDF and, in general, all recyclable materials. In this video you can see MAC 112 processing MSW, from collection to landfilling.
Waste is collected from the plant tipping floor and dropped into a bag opener, then it is carried to a trommel, where organic fraction is separated from inorganic; ferrous and non ferrous metals coming from the undersieve are then separated through magnets and eddy current. Ferrous and non ferrous are then separated also from the inorganic fraction, and residuals are baled and placed in the landfill through a ramp; during the baling process, the wet fraction of the residuals is collected with a leachate conveyor belt running all around the baler. Baling and wrapping presents several advantages, among which: - Reduction of transport cost thanks to volumetric reduction and optimised bale size - Extended landfill’s life - Optimised use of space for transportation, storing and landfilling MAC 112 stands out in its category for its low power consumption and high efficiency and it is ideal for transfer stations and landfills.
